Monthly Buddhist Observance Day which takes place on the full moon (Uposatha in Pali, Poya in Sinhalese). For the convenience of our visitors, we celebrate the monthly event on the nearest weekend to the full moon. Please notify the Vihāra if you plan to attend. You do not have to be Buddhist to attend the full moon observance day, nor do you have to perform any of the rituals. We do not try to convert anyone and everyone is welcome here.

Meditation & Dhamma Talk – Saturday Morning 9:00 – 11:30
Meditation sessions and Dhamma talks by our resident nun, Ayya Dhammakhippa, will both be in person and online via Zoom. Everyone is welcome to attend for the entire morning, only the meditation portion or just for the Dhamma talk. Please r.s.v.p. at greenvillebv@gmail.com so we can send you the Zoom link and any study material.

Ayya Dhammakhippa is offering a meditation and Sutta study sessions. This offering will both be in-person and on-line via Zoom. Everyone is welcome to attend for the entire morning, only the meditation portion or just the Sutta study. RSVP required at greenvillebv@gmail.com The Zoom link and Sutta pdf will be provided via email. Here is the schedule:
8:50am – arrival at the Vihara, getting settled and sitting quietly
9:00am – 10:00am – Meditation class begins
10:00am – for those remaining for the sutta class, we will take a 10-minute break to stretch our legs, go to the washroom, and/or have a cup of tea or coffee. For those who come for the Sutta Class, this would be an ideal time to arrive.
10:15am – Sutta Study
11:30am – End of sessions
