Welcome to the Carolina Buddhist Vihara Website
In September of 2019 CBV initiated a Stupa Project for the backyard at the Vihara. Our fundraising efforts and the generosity of many sangha members allowed for the Stupa to be commissioned in Sri Lanka. Although delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Malika Vejay, co-founder of CBV, has just been informed that the Stupa is now complete. However, we still need your help to raise additional funds to ship the Stupa to the Vihara and install it. Please click here for more details and how you can help. Thank you.
Wherever the Buddha’s teachings have flourished, either in cities or countrysides,
People would gain inconceivable benefits.
The land and people would be enveloped in peace,
The sun and moon will shine clear and bright.
Wind and rain would appear accordingly, and there will be no disasters.
Nations would be prosperous and there would be no use for soldiers or weapons.
People would abide by morality and accord with laws.
They would be courteous and humble, and everyone would be content without injustices.
There would be no thefts or violence.
The strong would not dominate the weak, and everyone would get their fair share.
